Opinions aren’t rigid; they are malleable. They flow with the uncovering of the unknowns. A major global event hits. Everyone has an idea about it. Opinion Editorialists race to get theirs out to the world first—you must remain current, or you don’t have a chance to get paid.

A writer writes a first draft, second draft, third draft...never a final draft. It’s a curse. A new thought enters the mind, a new final draft arrives, and then another, and another, and another.

What does anybody really know? Stories often change with each breath. Agree? Disagree?

For Free Speech to have a chance, it has to be free. It can’t be laced with fear. An opinion is nothing more than what it is until it becomes something new.

What happens to Opinion Editorialists (writers) who are afraid to opine?
